AppsForBudgeting is a small, independent directory of budgeting apps. We focus on what households with young kids care about: sharing a budget with a partner, keeping costs low, and planning for irregular expenses like childcare.

How we check app information

Prices and features come from each app’s official website or help center. The current listings were checked in Oct 2026, and each app page links to the page we used. Apps change their prices often, so always confirm on the official site before you subscribe.

We don’t publish star ratings or scores yet, because we haven’t finished hands-on testing. We don’t use made-up user counts or testimonials.

Affiliate and referral disclosure

Some links on this site are referral or affiliate links. If you sign up through one, we may earn a reward, at no cost to you. Each one is labeled where it appears. Today that’s Monarch Money’s referral program: people who join through our link get the discount Monarch offers, and we may receive a gift card if they subscribe yearly.

Referral and affiliate relationships don’t change which apps we list, the order they appear in, or what we say about them. Apps without a referral program get the same coverage.
